We believe in the quality of our drums and in our craftsmanship. This is why we offer a limited warranty to all our drums. We have a limited warranty which covers all our drums for quality. We also have 3 levels of warranty for those who wish to have peace of mind for this valuable investment for years to come.

The three levels of warranty are : Standard, Deluxe and Premium. Please review below the conditions and details of all three types of warranties.

Manufacturer’s defect: Any defect that is attributed to the building process including quality of sound / improper tuning.  IIf upon reception of the handpan, if an imperfection is detected. The customer must immediately record a video and send it to record the state of the handpan upon arrival. The video must be sent to the builder along with the description of all defects of physical instrument or sound.  If upon review of the video is it discovered that there is a manufacturer’s defect, it can be returned at the cost of Solos Handpans. This warranty is void if the customer has tampered or damaged the handpan. Examples of actions which will lead to a nul warranty are : leaving it the sun / heat, leaving it in the cold for a prolonged period, dropping, damaging, or any neglectful behaviour. If it’s found that there is a defect, the customer will be refunded the return shipping.

Handpan out of tune within first 10 days: If the handpan is out of tune upon arrival, or within 10 days of reception, a retuning is covered under the standard warranty. This is a rare occurrence, however it can happen. The customer must immediately record a video and send it to record the state of the handpan upon arrival. If upon review of the video is it discovered that the drum is in effect  out of tune, it can be returned at the cost of Solos Handpans. This warranty is void if the customer has tampered or damaged the handpan. Examples of actions which will lead to a nul warranty are : leaving it the sun / heat, leaving it in the cold for a prolonged period, dropping, damaging, or any neglectful behaviour. If it’s found that the handpan is out of tune, the customer will be refunded the return shipping.

Small damages + Free retuning (small dents, drops) : The deluxe warranty adds a few extra coverages for the handpan user. Minor damages can occur in a variety of ways : someone accidentally drops or sits  on the handpan for instance. This coverage allows a customer to send the drum for retuning and not have to pay retuning costs.Normal tuning fees (excluding shipping) can vary between $250 and $400.  Shipping fees are still the responsibility of the customer. Before sending for a retuning, the customer must record a video and send it to record the state of the handpan before shipping. After review of the video, you will be in touch with the Solos team on how to proceed. If it is deemed to be a minor damage that can be retuned, it will be covered under this warranty.  This type of warranty is void if the drum damage is considered to be “major”, whereas a complete replacement is required.
